Granddaughter

This is my granddaughter birthday card , its been on the drawing board for over 4 months now while I've been swapping idea's around. Maybe its because I'm getting older or that I just haven't got the training needed because this one took ages to do.

I must have started from scratch 6 times because I wasn't getting the vibe that it was "with it" or " in the right style" for a teenagers card. hehehe - I'm laughing because there's no chance that a women in her sixties can get into the head of a teenager, and I wouldn't want too as life is much too hectic today!

I've gone down the POP ART route which might work or I'll end up flat on my bottom.
Checking out on what is pop art - I find it is left to ones own interpretation and that anything goes.
I've printed it onto a 210 gsm card and I think it is great! (but I would say that wouldn't I )Tackling the insert should be a lot easier as I've already got a picture in my head on what I what to do. Anyway here's the card for you to look at, the features have been taken from a photo of my granddaughter so I believe friends will now its her.

It feels like winter in the U.K. --- where has the days go when you could sit out in your garden and feel the warmth on your skin brrrrrrrrYou have probably noticed that I've moved things around a little "sorry" its just me trying to settle in and put my house in order.I'm almost there except for not being able to click onto my cards to view them better. On searching the web I realize I'm not the only one having this problem so in a daft way it makes me feel a little better. Lets hope I'll find away round it soon.

I love flowers and think there is nothing better than sitting in my garden smelling the lavender and admiring all the lovely colours.

I haven't got any Irises but I have fond memories of a cluster of blue ones growing down the side of my parents house as a little girl.
